I don't actually have much information either. My parents were divorced when I was 12 and we didn't live in Ontario where the rest of the family were. I know that my grandmother - Theresa Hawley - lived at 51 George St. Trenton for most of her married life, my grandfather had passed away already by the time I was born. I only met the relatives including Fern a couple of times. There were 5 boys - Bobby,Doug, Cecil, Jerry and William and just the one girl Fern. Bobby was mentally handicapped - according to my mother due to the ineptness of the town doctor who was under the influence at the time of delivery - not sure if that is true or not. Unfortunately because Fern was the only girl alot of his care fell on her and he was apparently very difficult to handle. After my grandfather passed away my grandmother found she had to place him in care. As long as I knew them he resided in the Kingston hospital until his death. The details are fuzzy to me because, as I say! , we didn't really have much contact with them. One memory of Fern's family that I have is one summer when my family went to Trenton to visit she came also with her family and my brother and her daughter got along famously. So much so that we teased them about being kissing cousins although we didn't know what that meant. My daughter and my grandmother shared the same birthday - June 13. I believe - and I may have forgotten exactly - that my daughter was born on my grandmother's 82 birthday. I have never searched for any information on my family but for some reason Fern's name popped into my head yesterday and I felt compelled to enter it into the computer and up popped this website. So for whatever that is worth if I have any information you are looking for I am glad to share it. Is Fern still alive? As far as I know all the brothers have long passed away. So if our grandmothers were sisters I guess that makes us - second cousins? It would be interesting to know something about my grandmother's family.
