Chouinard, 63, husband of Mrs. Alfegenie (Strong) Chouinard of 143 Main St., Indian Orchard, died at his home this morning after a brief illness. He was born at St. Paul, P. Q., son of Francois and Marie (Metivier) Chouinard, and had been a resident of Indian Orchard for the past 63 years. He was employed by the Chapman Valve Manufacturing Co. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Henry Chouinard of Springfield, and Aldore Chouinard of Maine; a step-son, James Duncan of Thompsonville, Conn., and a step-daughter Mrs. Thelma Hackett of Springfield. The funeral will be at the Ratell funeral home, Wednesday morning at 9.30. Burial will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Source: Springfield Union, Tuesday, October 31, 1950, p. 2.
