My immediated great grandfather was Calixte Chouinard Son of Pierre Chouinard and Madeleine Chagnon. He married Elisabeth Labombarde in St.Marc Sur Richelieu, Canada. I believe the church burned down. It's outside of Quebec. The only Joseph I see married Marie-Madeleine Leclerc 8-4-1788 in St.Jean, Port Joli, Quebec, Canada. My grandfather had a brother Joseph Horace born in 1854 . My grandmother told me that before they moved to Wisconsin, the Chouinard family lived in New Brunswick, NY. I haven't checked that out.
