    3. Hello, everyone! My name is Jason and I'm in need of some help in verifying my wife's Choctaw ancestry. My wife and I are adoptive parents with two beautiful adopted children. We are currently dealing with a pregnancy outreach ministry that has a great need for adoptive parents with at least one parent having a Native-American roll card. They told us that all she needed was documentable blood to trace back to and she would be eligible for a roll card, thus making us eligible as adoptive parents to children of Native-American descent. We are told by my wife's Grandmother that Andrea's (my wife) G-G-Great Grandmother, Mary Gabraelin Raborn, was full-blooded Choctaw. I have also found that Mary's mother-in-law, Samantha Angeline Moore, was possibly a full-blooded Choctaw Indian Doctor, thus giving us two blood lines that might be documentable. If anyone could help us locate any of my wife's ancestors on a roll card...we would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks & God Bless!!! - Jason Mary Gabraelin Raborn DOB: December 05, 1856 Death: October 25, 1932 (Locations Unknown) Spouse: Benjamin Thomas Lea Samantha Angeline Moore Born: Bef 1827, Louisiana Marriage: Benjamin Lattimore Lea 25 Dec 1840, Louisiana Died: After 1850, Line Creek In Louisiana

    3. Hello, all you have to do is call the Choctaw Tribal Office in Durant Oklahoma . 1-580-920-8280 and ask for the enrollment Dept. BUT... there has to be an original enrollee. for anyone in the family to get a roll number. SO if your wife has a member of her family that was enrolled before 1907, then she can also obtain the roll number for herself. When you get connected to the enrollment dept. you have to give the name of the person who you think is Choctaw. It will take them a couple of minutes and they can give you the number, and they will also send you the forms to fill out for your wife to be come registered. I might add if your wife's Ancestors are Choctaw but never registered with the Choctaw Nation whether it be in Oklahoma or Mississippi Choctaw she will hot be able to obtain a roll number. Hope this helps, and good luck. Jason Guidry <[email protected]> wrote: Hello, everyone! My name is Jason and I'm in need of some help in verifying my wife's Choctaw ancestry. 1. Raborn, Moore, Lea
    2. Line Creek Church and cemetary is located in northern Caddo Parish, La. on Hwy. 168 between Ida and Rodessa, La. I checked the burials at the cemetery and don't see any Lea, Moore or Raborn listed. There are some unmarked graves there. dusty ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jason Guidry" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, June 20, 2006 7:12 AM Subject: [CHOCTAW-SE] Need help with Choctaw ancestry > Hello, everyone!
