James, I know this is not the answer to your question exactly, but I found Phillip McCann and wife Jennie on the 1900 census, Indian Population Schedule. He is listed as being born in 1875, his age is given as 25. I can email you a copy of that census page if you would like. I did not find him in OK in 1910. Fran Bolton. In the databases for assessgenealogy ( Final Rolls Database ) and rootsweb (Native American Data ) ...for (example )" Choctaw" Phillip McCann" Census Card # 2794 shows the same information from the Dawes Enrollment Cards, listing his age as 24. On the CD, that I have, NATIVE AMERICAN COLLECTION, from Oklahoma Historical Society, shows the same information , except it lists his age as 27.Why is there a 3 year difference in age, if the information for Phillip McCann was obtained from the same source. Also, is there an approximate date/time period from when this age was recorded on enrollment cards that I work with to calculate date of birth. I know the only exact way , probably would be to obtain the photocopy of the census card . Any assistance is appreciated. James
