The Census card refers to everyone who was related and went in at the same time to register. My grandmother has the same census # as her cousins, because they went in as a family. Her father and mother have the same # but her brothers were of legal age and married and when they went in to Register they got seperate Census card # as did their parentsagain. So if you put in my grandmothers Census Card # it will bring up all that were registered with her. If you put in her brothers Census Card # it will bring up who was registered with him. Sure would have made it easier to understand if the whole family had gone in together to Register. It gives the degree of blood and relationship also. I hope I have not confused you.
