My mother was raised as an orphan from the age of 6. My 2 brothers Willie and Croft was born in south Arkansas. I had a sister Meg who was bitten by a mad dog in November and died in Feb. The dog also bit my cousin who lived with us Zade Laster but it didn't break the skin. Meg, mom, dad, older sister and little brother are buried in Leslie. My mother had one brother Tom Hibbens. My father's people were from down south Arkansas. My grandfather was killed in the Civil War by the jayhawkers down by Bear Creek. The Zade Laster mentioned is my great grandmother Zada Laster Waters, her mother Nancy was a sister to John Gibbons. Possibly walked the Trail of Tears - more research to confirm this. This can not be true as the Cherokee Trail of Tears was between 1837 and 1838.
