My gr-gr-gr-grandmother was of Choctaw descent. Her name was Elizabeth Johnson. She was born in Mississippi, 1836, and married John Wesley Tyson. The lived in and around Choctaw County, MS. He died during the Civil War near Corinth, MS. Elizabeth then moved in with her brother, James Lee Johnson.
