It is ok I just wanted to make it clear, my position regarding Mr. Brashear's work, just in case some one has missed it. I have mentioned to him in e-mails some of the data described here and have never had any kind of response so am guessing he doesn't seem to care much, that was all. all the best Susanna ----- Original Message ----- From: ANGELYN CUNNINGHAM To: Susanna Noe ; CHOCTAW-SOUTHEAST-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, October 27, 2002 4:29 PM Subject: RE: [CHOCTAW-SE] Am I part American Indian-ie......Choctaw,Cherokee.... Susanna, I know you've had some differences with Charles Brashear and I don't mean to infer that he is THE 'end-all" expert on the Brashears. He's also sent me some conflicting 'facts', but I mentioned him only as a beginning for Jan in her search for the Brashears. My interest is only in a portion of his 5th volume as it concerns "Hyden vs. Choctaw" and the testimony of Harriet Everidge Oakes whose aunt was Elizabeth Brashears, the first wife of my 4Ggrandfather, Joseph James Fisher, and Joseph's 2nd wife, Martha "Pats(e)y Hay(e)s", my 4Ggrandmother. Elizabeth Brashears was the daughter of R.T. "Turner" Brashears whose wife was a daughter of Taboca.
