Gentledoe317, I don't have a Rogers in my family line, but if it helps you - so many people are in your situation. I was always told my grandfather(Marcus Hedges) was from Hannibal, Missouri. After I got a copy of his application for his social security card, it said Illinois. So researching Illinois census I found more information. I did discover Hannibal, Missouri is only a few hundred miles from Illinois......maybe he was born in Missouri and raised in Illinois or vice-versa. Carol
