James, I apologize........Hughes county is Creek, not Choctaw. When they were given their land, it was in Hughes, maybe the division of counties has changed since then. I know that my father(Hedges), grandfather(Hedges), great grandmother(Trahern) are buried in the cemetery at Non, OK, but Coalgate(Coal county) is where they are found on the census. My father always said it was where he was from(even tho he was born at Non). Thank you, Carol
