Carol, One suggestion is emailing Vickie Taylor at the Hughes County site and ask her if she has anyone there that volunteers to do lookups at the courthouse. Hughes County being in the Creek Nation and more that 65 miles from me, my lookups rarely get that far. The first time I saw the Choctaw allotment patent book in the Haskell County Courthouse, the wealth of historical information recorded more than impressed me. Hopefully we will have it up in the Haskell County OkGenWeb site soon. You might also make an inquiry at this site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/nations/itcreek.html re anyone that does lookups at the courthouse. Presently I am assistant county coordinator for http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Eokhaskel/index.htm# I'd like to hear about any progress you make.
