    2. Yes, I have heard of Bounty Land Warrants issued for service during the Removal. My ancestor resided Jackson Co AL, served 31 days (plus travel time) on alert expecting difficulty during Cherokee removal. He applied for and received 40 acre warrant under act of 28 Sep 1850 and he received 120 acre warrant under act of 1855. He had no other military service. He probably sold the warrants as he did not use them in AL. Investors went around the country buying up the warrants from recipients. At age 93 he applied for pension for this same service under act of 27 July 1892. He died before pension office acted on application. Pat Finnell
