On Choctaw census card# 2831..shows my grandfather, Lewis Cass, enrolled # 8329. The photocopy from the OHS, lists Adam Cass and Emma Nail Jones as his mother. This I know to be correct. I think there are not any similarities in the two surnames to have been spelled incorrectly. I am hoping someone might offer their thoughts on this post. Thanks James Brown

Thanks, James. I mentioned purchasing the book and its price only because of mail to Choctaw-Southeast from someone trying to sell a copy at Ebay. I submitted several bids then finally came to my senses and dropped out. I haven't checked out local library to see if they have a copy. 'Am not in the Choctaw Nation, though. Norman was Oklahoma Territory and south of us is the Chickasaw Nation.
