My husband's ggrandfather, James Turner Anderson, is the son on Solomon Anderson, Jr. and Rebecca Prescott. I have recently learned that Solomon Anderson, Sr. was the son of Daniel Anderson and a Choctaw Indian named Jenny (Michou). Is this the same Solomon Anderson that you are descended from? Would love to learn more if you have more about this family. I have been searching for years trying to find the Indian connection that family had mentioned. Thanks for any information you can share. 3. Christy If you have your dad's birth certificate, please look at the back of it and see if there are any numbers on it. I have a friend here in North Carolina who was adopted in 1932 and she took her birth certificate that her adoptive parents were given at her adoption to the courthouse in the county where she was adopted. She handed the numbers that were stamped on the back of it to the clerk in the office and asked them what the numbers meant? The clerk went to the birth record book, pulled out a birth certificate and handed it to her. It was her original birth certificate. She was able to find out who her birth mother was [she was already dead by this time]. The lady [mother] was a habitual liar. The father was named. He was a Messer, and we are still trying to figure out who in the heck he was. I cannot promise that this would ever happen anywhere else, but it is worth looking. 2. I'm at ground zero and I need help. My dad was adopted in Vicksburg, Mississippi. His adopted name is Thomas Ray Smith. He was born 9-18-1957. Adele Catherine Tulis and William Ray Smith adopted him and a white girl from a different family. He thinks he was born in Philedelphia, MS. I know his social, and he thinks he saw his birth father before and his name is Chapman. He thinks his mother was white. His adopted parents have now passed away and he is in need of finding his family. Christy
