If your Dad was Douglas, he was my Dad's brother. My Dad, Hollis Earl Calloway, passed away on Christmas Day in 2004. My grandmother (his mother), Artie Missy Byrd, is buried here in Lufkin, Texas where I live. She is buried next to my Dad. My Mom is LaVerne Casey Calloway. When I was a little girl we used to visit Uncle Doug and Aunt Wilma in Houston. I remember one time meeting at a river near Houston (the San Jacinto I believe) to fish and camp out. I used to swim and play with my cousin Charles. Uncle Doug died years later unexpectedly, and I never knew what happened to that part of my family. I am now 58 years old. I have always been under the impression that our our grandparents were part of the Alabama-Coushatta tribe. This is very interesting and I too, would love to know the truth. Yes, Anthony Lewis Calloway is buried near Toro, Louisiana. We spell our last name with an "o". I am not even sure which is the correct spelling, but that's the way we spell it. Please write back - I know you must be my cousin!
