Just wondered if some of my people's names may ring a bell to you. I know my Great Grandfather's name was Will Herron, he was said to be half indian, (headstone dates: B. 8 June 1886 D. 6 May 1969) Census records state he was born in Mississippi , and he died in Lamar County, Alabama. His father's name was Jonathan Herron (headstone dates: B. 11 Oct. 1841 D. 13 Sept. 1906) Census records state he was born in Alabama, and his father born in Ohio. I am almost positive Jonathan married Margaret Hood ( B. Oct. 1849 , in St. Clair County, Alabama ... daughter of Osborn Hood). I would love so much to find out more of this family ...
