Barnett ( white) Mother: Lizzie Airington( 1/8 Choctaw) Georgia married a white man from Texas, named David Carlton Crabtree. The children of this union were 1/32 Choctaw buy blood: Wyley E. Crabtree Early C. Crabtree Edna Crabtree Elmer Crabtree Edgar Crabtree Elvin Crabtree The Crabtree line was white. Georgia's husband was allowed enrollment when the Dawes Commission applications took place, but he gained status as a citizen by inter-marriage...........with no indian blood. Since he was married to an Indian woman he was allowed to be enrolled yet the designation clarified any question of his ethnic background as pertains to him having/not having indian blood. If you can tie these Crabtree's, via David and Georgia's children, to your line,it would have to be by direct descent in order for the Indian blood to have come down in the family. Georgia and David and their family did homestead in the Chickasaw Nation as well as in the Choctaw Nation during their lives. I am sorry that I was not able to find out more on the earlier Crabtree's, but this is all that is available on the rolls.
