I believe if Elijah (Crabtree) Williams was Choctaw his family maybe part of the Tennessee Choctaws. I have found Charlotte Ann (Brannan)Williams age 43 Born in West Virginia .No husband listed and son Elijah E 8year old son in the 1900 census. Two listing down was Enoch Crabtree age 29. He is living with his father Harrison Crabtree(50years old) and wife Sarah (age 60) and two brothers, Elijah and Rufus. My sister-in-law says Elijah Crabtree liked his step- father so much he took his name Williams for his own. This looking like a hard mystery. Is there any way I could find out about Choctaws Indians in Tenn. ,Kentucky or Ohio? I am going to go back in the census and see if I can find the parents of Harrison Crabtree. Thank you for all your help you have been so nice to try to find a Crabtree that linked my Elijah to the Choctaw Nation .
