That information is on Census Card # 3201: Roll # 9259 Pebworth, Dora E. 27 yr female 3/4 Choctaw by blood Roll # 9260 Pebworth, Elum N. 8 yr male 1/2 Choctaw by blood Roll # 9261 Pebworth, Lela M. 6 yr female 1/2 Choctaw by blood Roll # 9362 Pebworth, Etta 6 yr female 1/2 Choctaw by blood Roll # 9264 Pebworth, Preston 4 yr male 1/2 Choctaw by blood Roll # 9265 Pebworth, Thomas J. 2 yr male 1/2 Chocatw by blood You may locate more information if you get copies of the applications. I notice that no father/ husband is shown on the Dawes, which may mean he was deceased by the time of enrollment. Since the children had 1/2 Choctaw blood, and the mother was 3/4, it indicates that some degree of blood was inherited from the father. Perhaps in the application information you can learn the father's name. I have no way of seeking information on Prestons' wife, Vera,as I need a maiden name for her. I can give you some early history on the Pebworth name however which may or may not be of help. Henry Pebworth was a white man who lived among the Choctaws in the East, living near the Tombigbee River in Moshulatubbe's District in 1831 when a census of the Choctaw was taken. At that tme he is shown as having had seven persons in his household. His wife was a Choctaw named Nukaacha, and they are known to have had at least 6 children by 1831. Recorded are the names of children of one man named Pebworth ( who was also called Pidgeworth and Pokeworth): John ( was married 3 times, one wife named Mary, they had son named Joseph born in 1870) Joseph Bob Caroline Amy Matilda Mary Emily ( married Zack Davis. She died about 1888) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
