I believe my g grandfather was 'disowned' when he came to Texas and married my g grandmother; however, I believe that I've found his brother in the 1900 and 1910 Censuses; however, he wasn't registered on the rolls even though, according to the censuses, he was 1/2 Choctaw. His wife, who was 1/4 Cherokee, and their five children were on the Dawes Rolls. The children were listed as being 3/8 Indian which, given the math, substantiates that their father was 1/2 Indian. I don't know where to turn to...and would sincerely appreciate any suggestions someone may provide. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
