I have traced Hattie's family to 1788 in Virginia. but I want to be sure that I have the right famliy. My grandmother was the one that use to tell me stories of her childhood. She died in 1974 and I wish I had paid more attention to what she told me! I know she said that her mother had a reservation number or I guess this is what you called a white card. She and her husband kept all of their important papers in a bank safty deposit box. The bank closed because of the depression and they never were able to retrieve their papers. I can not find any "Roll" that lists her or her parents. Do you know if the government kept records of briths on the reservation in 1887? I don't have much Choctaw blood in me and I haven't been raised in their ways but I would love to learn more about them!!
