Sue, I have to jump in on this... We have Ida Pitchlynn who married Alexander Sorrells, son of William Chaplin Sorrells and Nancy Margaret Douglass. Alexander born 1871, but I don't have a place on him. The Sorrells and Douglass families lived in MO, Sebastian Co., AR, and LeFlore Co., OK (and Idaho, OR and CA, but not too long out west, I don't think). I had that Ida was 1/2 or 3/4 Indian, but only assumed Choctaw. Might Ida fit into your family? Thanks!
