    3. The tubee/tubby ending on Choctaw/Chickasaw names was originally an honor name. It was awarded after killing an enemy in battle, and mean's "man-killer". It's common among both Choctaw and Chickasaw because the language is almot identical since we were originally one people. dustyc@microgear.net -----Original Message----- From: Marian Watson <marianwatson@hotmail.com> To: CHOCTAW-L@rootsweb.com <CHOCTAW-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, April 07, 2000 3:47 PM Subject: [CHOCTAW] Tubbee >Is the Tubbee, a last name or a clan? I believe this is a Chickasaw name. How can we tell which? I know they were in the same area in Mississippi, upper eastern part of the state.
