Maybe this is one is yours - I'll try to decipher the document a little: "Before the commission to the Five Civilized Tribes. In the matter of the claim of Jim Anderson for enrollment on the citizenship roll to be prepared by the Comission for the Choctaw Nation. The aplicant would state for his claim for citizenship and enrollment that his age is 24 years and that his post office Ofahoma Mississippi. The applicant would further state for his claim that he is a choctaw Indian by blood he being the son of Tom Anderson, being the son of Soonna (I think its an "s") Anderson, a Choctaw Indian by blood. also his mother, Sine Anderson a full blood indian." On another document, it says, Tom Anderson, his wife Sine Anderson and his chidlren Luckett Anderson, Liza Anderson (some symbol that looks similar to a T) Ozu Pollie, 2nd Willis Barney, 3rd Jim Anderson. I don't really know what the above all means, do you? I don't understand the 2nd and 3rd especially since his mother is Sine, who are Ozu Pollie and Willis Barney? Anyway, that's all that's on this document. If you think it could help you, I'll be glad to scan it for you. I'm looking for my g-gndfather James (Jim) Anderson, and his brother, Pomp. We don't have a clue as to their parents - only know they were both born in Alabama (James was born in 1855). We think James and his wife Mollie (Mary Jane Lindsy) lived in Pike County AR and had a daughter Navada, then moved to IT and had 7 more children; Edward, Iva Evelyn, Jake, Clearcy Jane, Margret Emma, William Riley, and Jesse. We think they lived near the Tupelo/Coalgate area. Both g-gndparents are buried in Byrds Prarie cemetery just south of Tupelo OK. My Dad and aunt say that James was Choctaw and that Mollie was Cherokee. Haven't found anything on either of them to back it up so far. What Anderson's do you have? ----- Original Message ----- From: <LBCane@aol.com> To: <CHOCTAW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 06, 2000 11:25 AM Subject: Re: [CHOCTAW] Anderson family of Carthidge MS > I have two Sinie Andersons and don't have the husband to either one.
