    3. Hi Nalora Could you tell me what kind of doo dad I would need to have to look at a microfilm documents? I have seen the microfilms numbers listed on the NARA archives web site listing documents listed on it, and I had considered purchasing it, but I did not know what kind of equiptment I would need to view it on microfilm. Do you know what equipment I would need to view the microfilm doccuments? I appreciate any advise on this you can give me:-) Peace, Slimey P.S. Nalora I think I answered my own question about reading the microflm.LOL But would the public library allow one to use their microfilm readers to read outside microfilms? =======original message================    Message From: vashti@theshop.net (Nalora) Date: Sun, Mar 19, 2000, 8:00am To: CHOCTAW-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CHOCTAW] intruders Reply to: CHOCTAW-L@rootsweb.com At 09:13 PM 3/18/00 EST, you wrote: FYI, not to be down-putting, but three volumes of the indians and intruders are at my tulsa FHC and i havent found anything useful to me in them. rusty Not to start a flame war, here, Rusty, but maybe that is because you did not TAKE THE DOCUMENT NUMBER and LOOK AT THE MICROFILM. Some of the documents in the Indians and Intruders books are the most interesting documents I have ever read. The INDIANS AND INTRUDERS books are ABSTRACTS from INDIAN NATIONS Microfilm. Kind of like having...DUH an INDEX. How handy....how neato-nifty-keen!! AND I applaud Sharron and other compilers and transcribers who spend HOURS at microfilm readers making these INDEXES so other people will have an easier time finding their kin. I am continually amazed at people who have DOCUMENT number in hand, and yet never bother to get the microfilm and LOOK AT IT. That is akin to finding your kin in an INDEX and never looking at the pages in the book!!! (By the way...I am one of those silly compilers.) yall be good, now, hear?
