I am looking for the ancestors of my great great grandmother, Isabelle (sp?) Leflore Burns. I know that she was married to Henry Frieland Buckner "Buckner" Burns on August 23 or 26, 1869 at what is now Leflore, OK (it's speculated that she was 21 or 22 years old at the time they were married) and that she died on February 6, 1879. She had at least 3 children with Buckner: Henry Franklin, my great grandfather - born June 1872 and died June 1946; Mattie A. - born 1877 and died 1936; and William J. - born January 29, 1879 and died July 23, 1953. Also at the time of the marriage, Isabelle had an illegitimate daughter, Janie, that was about 5 years old at that time and who died in 1894 or 1895. Isabelle's half-brother was Joseph "Joe" Leflore; they shared the same father, Wallace (sp?) Leflore. It's possible that Isabelle's mother's name was Judie or Julie and that she had a sister (half-sister?) named Lizzie that was married to Buckner's brother Burton. Buckner is listed on ! the Dawes Rolls, Choctaw Nation as an intermarried white, #1542; Henry Franklin Burns is listed as 1/2 Choctaw on the Dawes Rolls, Choctaw Nation, #8872. Any information that can be shared will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Laurie Gibson P.O. Box 111 Haskell, OK 74436-0111
