I will be posting the entire "comprehensive" Index to "Leaders and Leading Men of the Indian Territory", Vol. I, Choctaws and Chickasaws By H. F. O'Beirne published 1891. When I get it finished. I am hoping to finish it in a week, it looks like now, at the rate it is going. I posted the original index to the book to this list a long while back, and it can be found, I think, on a search of the Archives of this list. What I am doing is taking all the genealogical information from each entry and placing that underneath the main entry header's name. I am also compiling a "brief mention" list of other people who are in the book, in individual stories, and yet are not on the original index. Essentially completing a more comprehensive index to the book. Eventually this, and all my other transcription work will be on my own webpage, which should be ready for the public in another week or so, as well. Jacque has had a lot of my stuff sitting on her web page for a long while, since I am so slow at getting my own web page up and running. I am very thankful to Jacque for providing me space for so long for some of my transcriptions. (and I am thrilled those tiny little Chronicle index notations helped you so much Sharon!! just thrilled--Maybe when I get the time to really scour I will come up with more.
