I just bought a book, "Wanted: The Heart of a Red-Headed Woodpecker" by Clair Woodward which is a short anthology of stories on eastern OK. One is a story about Choctaw Stick Ball told by Sidney White. The time frame is about 1893 until 19ll; this was when they took their ball playing a lot more seriously than they do today. At the end of his story, he gives a list of people that he remembers that played ball for the Big San Bois and the Little San Bois teams. I thought it might be of interest to someone.
