Does anyone have information on Doc Kerbow who is listed as a sheriff of Poteau, Le Flore Co.? The info on Le Flore Co. says he is listed on page 43 of Henry L. Peck's "The Proud Heritage of Le Flore County".This book was published by Hoffman Printing Co. of Muskogee, Ok. in 1963 and re-printed in 1967. What year was Doc Kerbow Sheriff? Was he Choctaw? Cherokee? Intruder? My gg-grandfather was J. M. Curbo/Kerbo/Kerbow. Was Doc related to J.M.? I do not have access to that book here in Texas. If anyone can help, I would be ever so grateful.
