My father (born in 1917) is trying to get a delayed birth certificate from Oklahoma. He is full blooded Choctaw and his parents are on the dawes rolls. The state of Oklahoma has requested a marriage certificate of his parents but I don't think at that time they had to have one to get married or did they? Could someone tell me how I could find one if there was one available. The parent's names are Sampson Winship roll # 9218 and Seyon Walker roll# 9219 in Gaines or Garris? County . I can't read it too clearly from the roll pages due to bad copy. The year they enrolled looks like 1896. Thanks for your help. Lori
