    3. Kelly, Thanks for e-mailing. I'm overwhelmed by the responses I've been getting on ideas. I think it's great. Anyways, I did write to the Forth Worth NARA and got both my grandparents packets. I got plenty of info on them such as land they purchased or received from the government, the registration card when they registered and after my grandmother died there was a document showing the division of property to her heirs. My father is on that list and I sent it to the State but it didn't give her maiden name so they didn't accept it. The registration card gave her maiden name but that was way back before 1896. What's interesting is her maiden name is Seyon Walker as shown when she registered in 1896 rolls and her father is listed as "Noahubbee" who was deceased. My father was not born until 1917 and she died a few months after that in the same year. Unfortunately I didn't receive a marriage certificate or birth certificate for either one of my grandparents. I did receive a proof of birth afividat for the oldest son that was born in 1901 but that doesn't help much. Anyhow, I'm thinking about writing to them and explaining the situation and hopefully I can get someone to accept what I have as far as documentation. Thanks for your help.
