My great grandmother was a Blankenship. I do not know who her parents were. I have been told by my aunts that she is either Choctaw or Cherokee but have found no evidence to prove either. She was married to James K. Polk Burks. She was born in Milan Co., Texas and died in Comanche Co.,TX. That is all the info I have. Would appreciate any information on her and her parents.
