    3. Hi Ethel, Thanks for emailing back. I sent 3 documents to the State of Oklahoma (Military papers, Insurance application, and a Application for Social Security. The problem is they need to see my grandmothers maiden name on a form connected to my dad. My father did not know his mother she died right after he was born. He was then taken by the state and put in an orphanage and only kept contact with his 2 brothers which both are deceased (1930's and 1945) and his sister just passed away in 1993. He had lost contact with her and I was the one to find out through Social Security records. I requested an application for her and she put unknown on the application as to the maiden name of her mother. The State said they would take an affidavit of someone that was present at my fathers birth but I don't know if anyone at that time would still be living. They would have to be around 90 years old. I wonder if they would take a copy of the dawes rolls? It's just a shame I didn't start this venture years ago. Any ideas would be appreciated on how to go about this. Thanks again.
