You are taken off the list, at least with name you submitted below. If you are getting too many emails from the list, you could unsub and resub in the Digest mode. That way you would only get one message with several list messages about every 18 hours or so. Let me know. Does anyone have any information on the following people: Rosa Coley, possible roll number 8746, born 1867. I think living around San Bois County in Oklahoma. Her parents were Joe and Sophie Coley. She was married to J.B. Drake (white), Tom Davis, Jeff Cooper (White schoolteacher), McCann, and Moore (don't know their first names. Tom or Thomas Davis, possible roll number 13364. He spent time in Ft. Leavinworth Federal Prison sometime around 1803-1805, but I don't know why. I think he may have died there. I would like to know more about him, why he went to prison. Mary Cooper, daughter of Rosa Coley and Jeff Cooper (white school teacher). I don't know her roll number. Ella Davis, roll number 748. Born 2-7-1903. Daughter of Rosa Coley and Tom Davis. Joe and Sophie Coley had 7 children, but I don't know any of their roll numbers, their names were Rose, Abner, Dave, Frank, Sicero, Sillen, and Nora. Mary Cooper and Ella Davis were raised by white guardians. The only name I have is J.D. Anderson who lived in Sulpher. Sillen Coley married the son of JD Anderson. I believe all of these people lived in Oklahoma. If anyone has any information on any of them, please email me. skylarstone@hotmail.com ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

I am desperately looking for Jacob I Gann, who married Sarah Mills, they were in Marion County, alabama in 1850. listed were children William Perry, Samuel, the oldest and my great grandmother Nancy. I thought it this passed to everyone in the circle here, someone might recognize the family?? We beleive they were Choctaw...we know we are american indian, but cant locate any info on them. Any clue would be appreciated. The nancys that I have looked up(43) are not her....so this would have to come from a Gann relative or Mills who does know...they are buried behind the O"Quinn baptist church in Texas, but the church has no records on file..but the cemetary contains alot of Ganns. thank you. Nancy
A big thank you to all who reply to my posting. Carol

Hi Skylar, Here are a few links you might try. Twin Territories page http://www.rootsweb.com/~itgenweb/ has a link to Choctaw Nation site http://www.rootsweb.com/~itchocta/ http://www.nara.gov/nara/fortwor.html Indian Pioneer Papers. Scroll down the page to Dawes Case files. http://freepages.cultures.rootsweb.com/~choctaw http://www.nara.gov/publications/prologue/1890cen1.html http://www.nara.gov/nara/searchnail.html Click on "expert search" then enter keywords "final rolls" (no quotes) then click on button "display results" then 4 items will display. The first option does not have digital copies. Items 2-4 have wonderful records! The online records are indicated by a tiny red button (don't try to click this one). Click on button marked "full" then on "links to digital copies" - most listings (1-154) are for Choctaw in Indian Territory, but Mississippi Choctaw are #s 155-166. This is the Final Rolls of Citizens and Freedmen of the Five Civilized Tribes in Indian Territory., 03/04/1907 . Thanks to Markie for the information. On my personal web site: http://www.maxpages.com/mygenroots there is a link on the left of the home page for my favorite genealogy links and on that page is several links for Choctaw Native American sites. Good luck. These are Federal Government records the Choctaw Nation does not have anything but the index and rolls themselves. They don't have the source material (census card packets) and they do no research.
