Hello List, I am looking for any info on my g-grandfather Ah Nee Yap. I don't know much about him, according to 1910 Census V.4, Hi Co., S.Hilo, E.D.117, Sheets 223 &224, my g-grandfather's name was misspelled. Should be Yap, evidently there are a couple of family members that I know of has Yap as a middle. I know that this is my family because the last Ah Nee child Mary is my grandmother who died in December 1976 and the only other family member I met was my grandmother's older Sister Keahi aka Anna Keahi Ah Nee-Hittle who died in April of 1980. AHNEE, Yip Head Age 60 M1, 23 years AHNEE, Hanna Wife Age 40 M1, 23 years, 5/5 AHNEE, Keahi Daughter Age 12 AHNEE, Ahana Daughter Age 8 AHNEE, Ahoon Daughter Age 11 AHNEE, Mary Daughter Age 4 LAKE, Levi Boarder Age 13 According to certain documents Ah Nee Yap was supposedly from China, I have no idea what part of China but went to Hawaii sometime before 1887. He must have died sometime after the 1910 census and before the 1920 census because my grandmother and a brother shows up on the 1920 census as being adopted by their Uncle Solomon K. Maka. This is all I know. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!
