Surnames: bakalian Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/iRC.2ACE/359 Message Board Post: i'm looking for my mothers roots.her name is sonia bakalian (44yrs)she was born in beirut lebanon.her and her brother mike (46 yrs.)were both sent to california by their parents when the war started they were infants at that time..my grandparents were both killed.me and my brother are the first born generation in america.we are both trying to find out some informatioin on our roots.i'm not sure if any of my family is still alive.i have at least 4 aunts and 3uncles.the last thing that my mom new about her family was that i had 13 cousins.but they are no where to be found that was at least 7 years ago.one thing that i new about my grandfather is that he was good friends with the president of lebanon and my grandparents used to have dinner with the presidents family.i think the year was 1960-1970's not quiet sure. please help.i just want to know if i have any family alive.my mom is still alive but she and i don't speak.my uncle mike was killed in 1985 he was working in a los! angeles tunnel, the tunnel caved in and crushed him.so i'm just asking for help i'm 24yrs.old and i think it's time for me to find out about my roots.so if there is anyone that can help please reply/email breezie.ca@netzero.net or if you have any information on my backgound or anything that you can do to help i really don't know anything about my roots i'm very interested in learning, i'm half hispanic and the other half of me is armenian.i was rasied the hispanic way and now i think it's time for me to know about my other half.thanks a hole bunch!!!!!!hope to here from someone very soon signed rebecca deann saavedra
