The temple walls were inscribed with the genealogy of the village residents. Although this was apparently a common practice of Buddhist temples, I'm sorry to say that many temples in the larger villages and towns were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Still - it is possible that one might find a reference on the wall of a temple. It is also possible that birth records might still be found at the county seat. These are probably long shots.
