These people are located along the coast line and into the hills on the south-east side of China. They did not cross over to Tai Wan supposedly but were supposed to have also gone to the Philipienes because of a storm (so legend has it). And if any of this sounds doubtfull, I have friends that are She to back this up.

My father's name was Adolfo Eric Sjögreen Robinson and my aunt Adele and him were siblings.

After much research, I finally discovered that I am a descendant of Huang2 Qiao4shan1 (872-953), not of Huang Shougong (the founder of the Zi Yun branch of the Huang Clan) as I had previously believed. Huang2 Qiao4shan1 is named the 117th generation of the Huang Clan in the "Huang Clan Genealogy of Shaowu, Fujian". He held the office of the Minister of Works (Gong1 Bu4 Shang4 Shu1) during the reign of the Tang Emperor Zhuangzong. He had three wives- Guan1 Shi4, Wu3 Shi4, Zheng4 Shi4 ("Shi4"= Surname, ancestresses are only known by their Surname in genealogies) and fathered 21 sons, all of whom held important posts in the Imperial Government. Over a period of 1,200 years, his descendants number more than 10 million today. 16 generations from Huang2 Qiao4Shan1 was Huang2 Fu4Dan4 (132th generation of the Huang Clan). The "Huang Clan Genealogy of Yunxiao, Fujian" recorded that "he moved to Zhangpu and his descendants later moved to Gaokeng in Zhao'an (county) and Jiaotou in Dongshan (county), Fujian." My ancestral village is Gaokeng in Zhao'an, Fujian. In our ancestral village we have an old family poem about Huang2 Qiao4Shan1 which was handed down from generation to generation. The first generation founder ancestor of my village was Huang2 Tian1hai3 (born circa AD 1425). There is still a missing link from Huang2 Fu4Dan4 to Huang2 Tian1hai3 but the latter is believed to be the former's great-grand-son . If this is true that would make Huang2 Tian1hai3 the 135th generation of the Huang Clan. (This has yet to be verified as I have no reference to the "Huang Clan genealogy of Zhangpu, Fujian"). I am Huang2 Tian1hai3's 17th generation descendant, (the 151st generation? descendant of the Huang Clan). Our village has no genealogy but ancestors' names could be known from the ancestral tablets in the Ancestral Hall which are arranged according to the Seniority of Generation. If any of you who are descendants of Huang2 Qiao4Shan1 happen to read this and have in your possession the "Huang Clan genealogy of Zhangpu, Fujian", I would be very glad if you would help me look into the genealogy and provide me the msiing link from Huang2 Fu4dan4 to Huang2 Tian1hai3. I am quite intrigued - while I know about the attempted elimination of the CCP in 1927 Shanghai, I was not aware that is generated a 'concentration camp'. Even more intrigued that someone with such an anglicised name would be born in one considering the strength of the foreign concessions. Would like to know which year is correct. St. Eugene Church in St. Eugene, Ontario lists date of death of his father as April 11, 1861, which would give credence to this date. However, William's age as stated in the 1910 Michigan Census for Chippewa County, Dafter Township and his death certificate would make his DOB 1866. His daughter said he lied about his age in order to appear younger for some unknown legal reason. Would also like to know name of his twin brother and the date and place of birth of his children, Wilfred and Eda, both between 1892 and 1898.

My grandfather, SUNG YAM, didn't come from Quemoy (please delete), but came from TONG AUN, as inscribed on his tombstone. I understand Tong Aun is a village in the Province of FUJIAN. His father, my great-grandfather, owned some salt yards/flats in Tong Aun, and my grandfather, being an only son, was given given the name YAM, which means SALT in Hokkien, at birth. I am aware of a Burk Priddy in Ohio around 1825 amd he had a son John Burke Priddy. Don't know if he had a son and grandson, but if he did, the grandson or even greatgrandson might have been a Burke Priddy. This line came from the Burke family that started in Virginia c1650.
