In the 1851 census I have Jane LEIGH, unmarried, aged 20 in Heaton Mersey Stockport. Her birth place is given clearly as Pounsworth, Cheshire but that is a new placename for me as a lifelong Cheshire resident. The 1841 census does not help in this and by 1861 she is not with her parents. Any ideas please? Mobberley area perhaps? Thanks Eric Millward
