Good afternoon listers, Could I ask if a lister has access to the 1841 census for Congleton in the parish of Astbury, Cheshire please. I have found a Charles Birtles in this parish which is the area where my husband's ancestors were from in the 19th & 18th C, but this is the first time we have come across a Charles. On the LDS site a Charles Birtles is shown as a 15 year old in the household in Congleton in the parish of Astbury. My husband's direct ancestors left Congleton, Cheshire and arrived in NSW, Australia in 1844 as Bounty Immigrants. Charles above also arrived in 1844 from Cheshire but on a different ship and a few months earlier. Charles is shown as an 18 year old, a bootmaker on his immigration record into NSW. I am wondering if he is another member of the family I have missed. Thank you for any help. Joan
