Anyone know if the parish registers for Cheadle St. Mary can be found on FindMyPast? Specifically, baptisms for 1796? And if so, how? I know that the Bishops' Transcripts are there as I found this entry: Forenames: Joseph Surname: Hickstock ... Christening Date: 01 May 1796 ... Location: Cheadle, Cheadle Father's Forenames: Isaac Father's Surname: Hickstock Mother's Forename: Mother's Surname: Parish: City or Town: Cheadle County: Cheshire Record source: Diocese of Chester Bishop's Transcripts of Baptisms Looking at the image of the entry, I'm convinced it isn't "HICKSTOCK" and is possibly one of my elusive PICKSTOCK relatives. Normally, I would check the PR - but I cannot find it on FS or FMP. I had hoped to find a baptism close in date and then browse to mine, but have had no luck doing that. According to Brett Langston's details on http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/chs/churches/cheadle-st%20mary.html the original registers are at Chester and have been filmed. Maybe they haven't been put into the Cheshire Collection? Anyone understand what's going on? Are just odd pages missing or am I wasting my time?
