My name is Danny CROTHERS. I live in Wynyard, a town on the north-west coast of Tasmania. My wife, Jo, is a granddaughter of a couple who left Manchester for Western Australia in 1910: Fred and Annie BROUGH. Names from Fred's side: LAND, CRANE, RUGEN. Names from Annie's (nee POWELL) side: KNIGHT, COCKER, GRIMSHAW. The main places: Hurst, Ashton-under-Lyne, Stretford, Chorlton, Salford. I have many photos from theatrical productions in which Fred and Annie participated in Manchester - 14 of the featured actors are named, including Ryder Boys, with whom Fred trained. Also 60 photos of unidentified people who are probably family members. I also have the transcript of radio programs Annie broadcast in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1934. She spoke of Manchester and their experiences as pioneer farmers in the wheatfields of WA. I am in the process of turning these transcripts into a book. As a means of identifying the people in the photos, I am hoping to find a way of discovering with whom Annie stayed on a return visit to England in 1938. The address of the people with whom she stayed was: Linden, Wilcott Drive, Fulshaw Park, Manchester. I am aware Fulshaw Park is in Cheshire - I have seen the street on Google Maps, but couldn't see any sign with Linden. I wonder if it is possible to trace ownership in 1938 through electoral rolls, post office lists...? Any help gratefully accepted. I am happy to share everything I have. Regards Danny Crothers
