Hello Christine, Eric makes an excellent point. While hunting for clues of my Vernon ancestry, there are 10 or so trees on ancestry.com that claim an ancestor is the son of a woman who died 4 years before he was born! It is very possible that you have found the correct answer while others have simply copied the incorrect one.
