Googling Durranhill House, I see that this was a nursing home for 96 years, up to 2004 (when it was redeveloped for housing), though it had been a convent up till about 1908. It may still have been run by a religious order however, as there appears to still have been a chapel in 2004. You might just be able to find a little more relevant to your gg aunt by enquiring at Cumbria Record Office or even a Tourist office in Carlisle. Born 21st March 1900 at 23 Miners Row, Pendleton, Salford. Died 10th January 1970 at Durran Hill House, (Convent) Carlisle. On the 1901 census the family are at 23 Minors Row but not Mary Agnes.
