Hi, Could anyone tell me if there was a 1841 census for the Stockport, Cheshire area. I am looking for a family and I can find Them on the 1851 census but not on the 1841. The name is Marriott. They would have been in the Gee Cross, Hyde area. Any help would be appreciated Regards Trish Essex

Trish ,  it would help if you gave their names and possibly where they were born. How do you know they were in Gee Cross in 1841 ? Hi Trish, There are several MARRIOTTs in that area and there are some in 1841. If you give details of the family you have found in 1851 then it is possible to look for them in 1841.
