Hello, Following on from my previous message I have located a marriage for an Ellen KAY to George WILLIAMS in Davenham in 1834. In the 1851 census they are living at Hartford Road in Castle Northwich but in the 1871 census George is married to a lady by the name of Elizabeth who is about 20 years his senior. Living with the couple are two of George's children from his marriage to Ellen, Mary aged 14 and Eliza 7. The register at Great Budworth records the burial of Ellen WILLIAMS who died at the House of Correction at Knutsford in 1858 aged 46 years. Is there any way that I can confirm whether this is the same Ellen WILLIAMS and if it is, how can I find out what she did presuming she was an inmate and not a worker there. Regards, Christine
