Hi All I tried to order an 1863 birth certificate from this office online but it I couldn't progress to payment because it wanted the full date of birth which is rather silly I thought because how could I possibly know that with the birth certificate? Has anyone else had this problem and how can I get around it please. Otherwise I will have to order it from Southport which will take a lot longer. Peter
Peter Just insert a fictitious date in the format it asks for. 00/00/0000 works I think. The registrars are aware of the problem and they will issue the certificate providing you give the reference number from CheshireBMD.
