Ann, Just remembered something else. You said you didn't know when he entered the country - where and when. Have you had access to the books, tan in color, with black lettering, on the immigration of people from other countries. PASSENGER AND IMMIGRATION LISTS INDEX by P. William Filby with Mary K. Meyer. They are about 14 x 18 in size. There are many volumes. They are found in most genealogy sections in libraries and in all the state Archives. If you find something which you think MIGHT be the one you're looking for, you can then write the National Archives in Washington and they will send you the ship's passenger list which gives you the date they entered the country and the ship upon which they traveled and from what port of embarkation to and from. Price $10.00 the last time I got one. You'll need form from NARA -ship passenger arrival records. There is a number but I can't find it on mine. They are available on line from the NARA web site. National Archives and Records Administration 7th and Pennsylvania Ave, NW W,DC 20408. Good luck! I've included the entire list, since others may not know of this source and research tool from the NARA. Mary J. Marchant
