Updated information: George Washington Cherry Jan 1862 - 12 Sep 1924 Carrie Merritt Cherry Jan 1868 - May 1957 children Charles (died as infant), Allen (adopted), Early, George Thomas, John Harvey, Wordlaw David, Emma Ethel, Earnest, Minnie, Alonza Lucious, Council Christopher, Willie (adopted), Leon Franklin. Except for the adopted children, all were born in Ellenton, SC; John, Emma and Leon moved to NY; Earnest and Wordlaw moved to MI; Alonza moved to PA then back to Aiken. Carrie Merritt Cherry has a brother named Thomas who live in New Orleans for a time.
